PERINATAL SUPPORT WASHINGTON (PS-WA) IS A STATEWIDE NON-PROFIT COMMITTED TO SHINING A LIGHT ON PERINATAL MENTAL HEALTH TO SUPPORT ALL FAMILIES AND COMMUNITIES.

IN 2023 PERINATAL SUPPORT WASHINTONS PROGRAMS CONTINUED TO GROW. WE ARE NOW OFFERING CULTURALLY MATCHED PEER SUPPORT FOR BLACK/AFRICAN AMERICAN PARENTS, INDIGENOUS (AMERICAN INDIAN, ALASKAN NATIVE, NATIVE HAWAIIAN AND PACIFIC ISLANDER) PARENTS AS WELL AS FOR THE LATINX/SPANISH SPEAKING COMMUNITY. EVERY PROGRAM NOW HAS SPANISH SPEAKING STAFF TO SERVE MORE FAMILIES. ADDITIONALLY, THE WARM LINE NOW PROVIDES INTERPRETERS AND IS ACCESSIBLE TO ANYONE REGARDLESS OF ABILITY TO SPEAK ENGLISH. WE ALSO EXPANDED PEER SUPPORT TO INCLUDE SUPPORT FOR DADS. OUR THERAPY PROGRAM CONTINUED TO OFFER PRO BONO CARE FOR ALL UNINSURED AND UNDER-INSURED FAMILIES SEEKING SERVICES. OUR REACH AND IMPACT CONTINUE TO GROW. IN 2023 OUR PROGRAMS SERVED OVER 2,000 PEOPLE. WE SAW AN INCREASE IN THE NUMBER OF CALLS ON THE WARM LINE BY 18%. WE EXPANDED PROGRAMS IN 4 NEW COUNTIES AND TRAINED 900 MENTAL HEALTH PROVIDERS.
