MISSION THE KIDS' PLACE TRANSFORMS THE LIVES OF YOUNG CHILDREN THROUGH PLAY IN PARTNERSHIP WITH FAMILIES AND TEACHERS. VALUES LEARNING IN RELATIONSHIP NURTURE TRUSTING RELATIONSHIPS WITH ONE ANOTHER TO BUILD EMPATHY, CRITICAL THINKING, CURIOSITY, AND CREATIVITY IN A WELCOMING ENVIRONMENT. THE KIDS' PLACE IS A SMALL COMMUNITY THAT ENCOURAGES CHILDREN TO DEVELOP HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS AND TO BECOME ACTIVE AGENTS IN THEIR OWN EDUCATION. ESTABLISHED IN 1985, THE KIDS' PLACE HAS BEEN A LICENSED CHILDCARE AND PRESCHOOL FOR THIRTY-FIVE YEARS. WE PROVIDE A CLIMATE FOR GROWTH IN WHICH CHILDREN HAVE OPPORTUNITIES THROUGH PLAY AND REAL WORK TO EXPLORE THEIR IDEAS AND REALIZE THEIR CAPACITIES. CHILDREN ARE GROUPED BY CHRONOLOGICAL OR DEVELOPMENTAL AGE. WE FEEL IT IS IMPORTANT THAT EACH CHILD HAVE ONE SPECIAL TEACHER WHO WILL OVERSEE THEIR PROGRESS, KEEP RECORDS, AND COMMUNICATE WITH PARENTS. THE KIDS' PLACE HAS A CURRENT SCHOOL YEAR ENROLLMENT OF 30-35 CHILDREN. WE EMPLOYEE 15-20 PEOPLE ANNUALLY. ENROLLMENT AND EMPLOYMENT NUMBERS FLUCTUATE SEASONALLY BASED ON DEMAND FOR CHILDCARE.
