THE ASSOCIATION OF COMMUNITY HEALTH NURSING EDUCATORS (ACHNE) PROVIDES A MEETING GROUND FOR THOSE COMMITTED TO EXCELLENCE IN COMMUNITY AND PUBLIC HEALTH NURSING EDUCATION, RESEARCH, AND PRACTICE. ACHNE ACCOMPLISHES THIS BY PROVIDING NETWORKING THROUGH NEWSLETTERS AND A MEMBERSHIP DIRECTORY AND EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES THROUGH PUBLICATIONS AND THE ANNUAL SPRING INSTITUTE.

Describe the Organization's Program Activity:

ANNUAL INSTITUTE CONFERENCE ALLOWS COMMUNITY HEALTH NURSING EDUCATORS TO COLLABORATE, SHARE STRATEGIES FOR BUILDING A CULTURE OF HEALTH, PROMOTE HEALTH EQUITY, AND WORK TOWARD COMMUNITY WELLBEING.


GRANTS AND AWARDS: RESEARCH GRANTS PROVIDE FUNDING FOR SMALL STUDIES WITH PROMISING CONTRIBUTIONS TO PUBLIC HEALTH NURSING (PHN) OR PHN EDUCATION. EVIDENCED-BASED PRACTICE (EBP) GRANTS PROVIDE SUPPORT TO EBP PROJECTS THAT PROMOTE COMMUNITY/PUBLIC HEALTH THROUGH EFFECTIVE TEACHING, MASTERY OF STUDENT LEARNING AND/OR COLLABORATING TO IMPROVE HEALTH OUTCOMES OF INDIVIDUALS, FAMILIES, ACROSS THE LIFESPAN OR GROUPS, COMMUNITIES, OR SYSTEMS ACROSS THE HEALTHCARE CONTINUUM.
