PAVE PROVIDES SUPPORT, TRAINING, INFORMATION, AND RESOURCES TO EMPOWER AND GIVE VOICE TO INDIVIDUALS, YOUTH AND FAMILIES IMPACTED BY DISABILITIES.

PARENT TRAINING AND INFORMATION (PTI) CENTER (FUNDED THROUGH A GRANT FROM THE US DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION SINCE 1981) PROVIDES TRAINING, INFORMATION, RESOURCES, AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO HELP PARENTS, CAREGIVERS, YOUTH, AND PROFESSIONALS UNDERSTAND AND ADVOCATE FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES BIRTH THROUGH AGE 26 IN WASHINGTON STATE. PTI CONTINUES COLLABORATIVE EFFORTS WITH SYSTEMS PARTNERS TO ADDRESS BARRIERS, IMPROVE COMMUNICATIONS, AND INCREASE ACCESS TO EDUCATION AND AND RELATED SERVICES.


INCLUSIONARY PRACTICES PROFESSIONAL (IPP) DEVELOPMENT PROJECT IN COORDINATION WITH OSPI AND OTHER STATEWIDE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PARTNERS, DESIGN AND DELIVER TRAINING AND SUPPORT TO PARENTS AND FAMILIES OF STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES AGES 6-21 IN WASHINGTON STATE, AND OUTCOMES (E.G., GRADUATION AND POST-SCHOOL).


PIERCE COUNTY PARENT TO PARENT (P2P) (FUNDED BY PIERCE COUNTY HUMAN SERVICES AND THE ARC OF WA/STATE P2P) PROVIDES EMOTIONAL SUPPORT AND INFORMATION ON COMMUNITY RESOURCES FOR PARENTS WHO HAVE A CHILD WITH A DISABILITY OR CHRONIC HEALTH NEED.
