TO ASSIST PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES TO MAXIMIZE THEIR SENSE OF DIGNITY AND SELF-WORTH BY PROVIDING QUALITY VOCATIONAL EVALUATION AND TRAINING, COMMUNITY EMPLOYMENT SUITED TO THE INDIVIDUAL'S NEEDS, SKILLS, DESIRES AND SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT, AND RESIDENTIAL SERVICES WHICH ENABLE THEM TO ATTAIN THEIR HIGHEST LEVEL OF INDEPENDENCE IN ALL PHASES OF THEIR LIVES.

EFI'S SUPPORTED LIVING PROGRAM SERVES 49 CLIENTS IN MASON AND THURSTON COUNTIES. SKILLED STAFF OF APPROXIMATELY 110 SERVE BOTH OUR SUPPORTED LIVING PROGRAM AS WELL AS OUR COMMUNITY GUIDE/ENGAGEMENT IN DIFFERENT SETTINGS; SUPPORTING THEM WITH GOALS, SAFETY AND INDEPENDENCE.
EFI'S VOCATIONAL SERVICES DEPARTMENT PROVIDES EMPLOYMENT ASSISTANCE, VOCATIONAL PROGRAMS, AND COMMUNITY INCLUSION FOR DISABLED YOUTH AND ADULTS. EFI STAFF WORK CLOSELY WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL & HEALTH SERVICES DIVISION OF VOCATIONAL REHABILITATION AND THE DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES ADMINISTRATION TO PLACE INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES IN THE COMMUNITY WORKFORCE AND HELP FACILITATE ACCESS TO NON-EMPLOYMENT RELATED ACTIVITIES THAT HELP TO ENHANCE LIFE AREAS AND DEVELOP MEANINGFUL RELATIONSHIPS IN THE COMMUNITY. WE ALSO PROVIDE SERVICES TO HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS THROUGH THURSTON-MASON COUNTY DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES PROGRAM AND JOB PLACEMENT AND RETENTION SERVICES THROUGH A MEDICAID FUNDED PROGRAM, FOUNDATIONAL COMMUNITY SUPPORTS. IN 2021, WE SERVED 141 CLIENTS ACROSS ALL PROGRAMS.
