PROVIDES GRANTS TO 501(C)(3) ORGANIZATIONS IN COWLITZ AND WAHKIAKUM COUNTIES IN WASHINGTON STATE TO SUPPORT THE HEALTH, EDUCATION AND FINANCIAL STABILITY OF THE LOCAL COMMUNITY. UNITED WAY HELPS TO LIFT FAMILIES OUT OF POVERTY, ENSURES CHILDREN GET A STRONG START IN LIFE AND KEEPS SENIORS CONNECTED THROUGH A COMPREHENSIVE GRANT PROCESS THAT REQUIRES ORGANIZATIONS TO PROVIDE FINANCIAL ACCOUNTABILITY AND PROGRAM PLANS.
INCREASES LITERACY, REMOVES BARRIERS TO BOOKS AND INTRODUCES CHILDREN TO THE LOVE OF LEARNING BY BEING AN AFFILIATE OF DOLLY PARTON'S IMAGINATION LIBRARY AND PROVIDING FREE BOOKS TO CHILDREN EACH MONTH FROM BIRTH TO AGE FIVE. INCLUDES THE PROGRAM MANAGEMENT, OUTREACH AND BOOKS FOR CHILDREN.
