PORK INFORMATION GATEWAY - THE PORK INFORMATION GATEWAY IS A FREE, ONLINE INFORMATION LIBRARY THAT CONTAINS FACTSHEETS, HOW-TO GUIDES, VIDEOS AND REFERENCES ON ALL SWINE INDUSTRY RELATED TOPICS AS WELL AS LINKS TO OTHER FACTUAL INFORMATION, INCLUDING INFORMATION FROM THE NATIONAL PORK BOARD AND USDA. FUNDED STUDENT EDITORS AND THEIR FACULTY MENTORS WORK TO REVIEW AND UPDATE CONTENT WITHIN SPECIFIC CATEGORIES ANNUALLY.
SWINE RESEARCH & EDUCATION EXPERIENCE - USPCE AND NATIONAL PORK BOARD PROVIDE FOR UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS TO BE RECRUITED TO SEEK CAREERS IN RESEARCH AND TEACHING SWINE SCIENCE AND VETERINARY MEDICINE IN THE U.S. PORK INDUSTRY. THROUGH RESEARCH PURPOSES, THIS WILL PROVIDE STUDENTS WITH PORK SCIENCE AND INDUSTRY EXPOSURE, GAINING PERSONAL EXPERIENCES IN SWINE RESEARCH AND PROBLEM-SOLVING PROJECTS. THE NATIONAL SWINE RESEARCH FORUM AND WORKING GROUPS MEETINGS ARE HELD TO PROVIDE DIRECTION AND SUPPORT TO ORGANIZATIONS FOCUSING ON RESEARCH EFFORTS, INCLUDING THE RILEY MEMORIAL FOUNDATION.
HIGH SCHOOL CURRICULUM - DESTINATION PORK IS A HIGH SCHOOL CURRICULUM THAT COVERS PORK PRODUCTION AND CAREER EXPLORATION. THERE ARE TWO PATHWAYS INCLUDED IN THE DOWNLOADABLE CURRICULUM, AVAILABLE TO HIGH SCHOOL AG INSTRUCTORS AND CAREER COUNSELORS. CURRICULUM WAS DEVELOPED FOR IN-PERSON AND ONLINE INSTRUCTION.
