PORK INFORMATION GATEWAY - THE PORK INFORMATION GATEWAY IS A FREE, ONLINE INFORMATION LIBRARY THAT CONTAINS FACTSHEETS, HOW-TO GUIDES, VIDEOS AND REFERENCES ON ALL SWINE INDUSTRY RELATED TOPICS AS WELL AS LINKS TO OTHER FACTUAL INFORMATION, INCLUDING INFORMATION FROM THE NATIONAL PORK BOARD AND USDA. FUNDED STUDENT EDITORS AND THEIR FACULTY MENTORS WORK TO REVIEW AND UPDATE CONTENT WITHIN SPECIFIC CATEGORIES ANNUALLY.
SWINE RESEARCH & EDUCATION EXPERIENCE - USPCE AND NATIONAL PORK BOARD PROVIDE FOR UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS TO BE RECRUITED TO SEEK CAREERS IN RESEARCH AND TEACHING SWINE SCIENCE AND VETERINARY MEDICINE IN THE U.S. PORK INDUSTRY. SWINE SCIENCE ONLINE USPCE MARKETS/OFFERS 17 UNIVERSITY LEVEL ONLINE COURSES THAT ARE SPECIFIC TO THE DIFFERENT ASPECTS OF THE SWINE INDUSTRY. THESE COURSES ARE OFFERED IN PARTNERSHIP WITH FIVE UNIVERSITIES: IOWA STATE UNIVERSITY, NORTH CAROLINA STATE UNIVERSITY, SOUTH DAKOTA STATE UNIVERSITY, UNIVERSITY OF MISSOURI, AND UNIVERSITY OF NEBRASKA LINCOLN. ALL INSTRUCTIONS ARE FROM THE HOST INSTITUTIONS OR HAVE ADJUNCT STATUS AT A HOST INSTITUTION.
