THE CAPTAIN JOSEPH HOUSE FOUNDATION WILL PRIVDE A CONTINUUM OF CARE FOR THE FAMILIES OF THE FALLEN (KNOWN AS GOLD START FAMILIES) IN HONOR AND MEMORY OF CAPTAIN JOSEPH WILLIAM SCHULTZ, SPECIAL FORCES, WHO DIED IN WARDAK PROVINCE, AFGHANISTAN. THE FOUNDATION WILL PROVIDE AN EXPENSE PAID RESPITE/RETREAT ON THE OLYMPIC PENINSULA FOR FAMILIES FROM ALL BRANCHES OF SERVICE WHO HAVE PAID THE ULTIMATE SACRIFICE SINCE 9/11 AND WHO DIED IN COMBAT. A SCHOLARSHIP FUND WILL BE CREATED AND ADMINISTERED TO PROVIDE ADDITIONAL REVENUE FOR THOSE SONS AND DAUGHTERS OF THE FALLEN WHO WISH TO PURSUE POST HIGH SCHOOL EDUCATION AT UNIVERSITIES, STATE AND COMMUNITY COLLEGES, TRADE AND/OR TECHNICAL SCHOOLS.
