Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
COUNSELING: CORNERSTONE COUNSELING OFFERS CARE THROUGH COMPASSIONATE, SKILLED MENTAL HEALTH PROFESSIONALS.
MEDICAL: PROVIDED FAMILY MEDICAL SERVICES THOUGH APPROXIMATELY 5,000 PATIENT VISITS. PROVIDED FREE OR REDUCED CARE FOR MISSIONARIES AND PASTORS. HELPED CONTINUE ANCHORAGE PROJECT ACCESS IN THE COMMUNITY. ASSISTED IN HUMANITARIAN AID MEDICAL PROJECTS IN DEVELOPING COUNTRIES.
PPE RESOURCE LINK PROJECT: ADVANCES PUBLIC HEALTH BY LINKING PERSONAL PROTECTION EQUIPMENT (PPE) RESOURCES WITH SERVICE PROVIDERS. THE PROJECT PROCURES PPE AT BULK RATES, WITH CONSOLIDATED SHIPPING DIRECTLY TO ALASKA MEDICAL MISSIONS' WAREHOUSE IN ANCHORAGE. THE PROJECT THEN BREAKS DOWN BULK SHIPMENTS FOR PACKAGING TO SERVICE PROVIDERS AND VILLAGES THROUGHOUT THE STATE, COORDINATES WITH TRANSPORTERS, AND SPONSORS SHIPPING FROM THE HUB WAREHOUSE TO THE END USER. THIS PROGRAM WAS IMPLEMENTED TO SUPPORT COVID RELIEF AND FUNDING WAS PROVIDED TO CHA THROUGH JUNE 2021. THE ORGANIZATION HAS ENDED THIS PROGRAM BY THE END OF 2021.
PROJECT ACCESS - INCREASES ACCESS TO HEALTH CARE FOR LOW-INCOME UNINSURED MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY BY USING A VOLUNTEER NETWORK OF PROVIDERS WORKING IN A COORDINATED FASHION TO CREATE A COMPASSIONATE, RESPECTFUL, EQUITABLE, ACCOUNTABLE, AND EFFICIENT PROGRAM OF NECESSARY SERVICES FOR THOSE IN NEED. ALASKA MEDICAL MISSIONS - CHA IS A STAGING AREA FOR DONATED MEDICAL SUPPLIES THAT ARE PROVIDED TO THOSE TRAVELING TO DEVELOPING COUNTRIES. AMM INCREASES THE LEVEL OF HEALTH CARE IN DEVELOPING COUNTRIES WHILE DECREASING MEDICAL WASTE IN ALASKA. HEALTHY SMILES FOREVER (HSF) - CHA PROVIDES DENTAL CARE FOR RESIDENTS OF LONG-TERM CARE FACILITIES IN ALASKA. ITS GOAL IS TO IMPROVE RESIDENTS' OVERALL HEALTH THROUGH DENTAL SCREENING, TREATMENT AND PREVENTIVE SERVICES AND COORDINATION WITH OTHER HEALTH CARE PROVIDERS. RECOVERY: CORNERSTONE RECOVERY IS THE MOST RECENT ADDITION TO THE CLINIC'S SERVICES. IT IS AN INTENSIVE OUTPATIENT, EVIDENCE-BASED, ADDICTION RECOVERY PROGRAM. ANCHORAGE SCHOOL BASED HEALTH CENTERS (SBHC) - CHA WORKS IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE ANCHORAGE SCHOOL DISTRICT TO PROVIDE CARE AT ANCHORAGE MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOLS TO KEEP STUDENTS HEALTHY AND IN SCHOOL. COMMUNITY LIAISON - CHA ALSO PROVIDES A FAITH-BASED AND COMMUNITY LIAISON TO CONNECT SOCIAL SERVICES AND FAITH-BASED SERVICES FOR THOSE WHO MIGHT OTHERWISE FALL THROUGH THE CRACKS IN THE COMMUNITY'S SUPPORT SYSTEM.
