THE ORGANIZATION OPERATES THE HYDRO DISTRICT FREE FAIR. REVENUES COME FROM THE CAKE AUCTION, PUBLIC DONATIONS, AND SALES TAX ALLOCATED FROM CADDO COUNTY, OKLAHOMA.THE PORTION OF THE FAIR THAT IS OPERATED BY THIS ENTITY INCLUDES EXHIBIT AND LIVESTOCK AND COMMODITIES COMPETITIONS. THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES PRIZES TO COMPETITION WINNERS, ARRANGES JUDGES FOR COMPETITION, AND PROVIDES ADVERTISING FOR THE FAIR. ALL LABOR IS ON A VOLUNTEER BASIS, SO THERE ARE NO WAGES.THE ORGANIZATION ACCUMULATES MONEY FROM THE OPERATION EACH YEAR TO BUILD NEW FAIR BUILDINGS, WHICH ARE THEN DONATED TO THE TOWN OF HYDRO. IT ALSO DONATES MONEY TO HYDRO AMUSEMENT COMPANY TO BUY NEW RIDES FOR THE FAIR. WE OBSERVE AND SEE THAT THE DISTRIBUTIONS ARE FOR THEIR INTENDED PURPOSE.THE ACTIVITY HAS BEEN OPERATED FOR 116 YEARS.
