PROVIDE A FORUM TO DISCUSS AND ACT UPON ISSUES OF CONCERN TO AAPI COMMUNITIES OF COLORADO AND SUPPORT AAPI COMMUNITIES IN PRESERVING AND ADVANCING THEIR CULTURAL HERITAGE.

IN 2021 THE ASIAN ROUNDTABLE RECEIVED A COLORADO HEALTH FOUNDATION GRANT AS WELL AS A CITY OF AURORA GRANT AND A BEANSTALK FOUNDATION GRANT IN ORDER TO CREATE PROGRAMS TO COUNTER THE GROWING ANTI-ASIAN HATE THAT HAD BECOME A GROWING PROBLEM AFTER THE ONSET OF COVID. THE ARC HELD NUMEROUS COMMUNITY MEETING IN VARIOUS AAPI COMMUNITIES, SUCH AS HMONG, FILIPINO, KOREAN, CHINESE, ETC IN ORDER TO DEVELOP COMMUNITY PARTNERS THAT COULD ACT AS EDUCATORS FOR THEIR COMMUNITIES ON HOW TO RESPOND TO INSTANCES OF ANTI-ASIAN HATE. THE INITIATIVE HAS DISTRIBUTED OVER 2,500 FREE ANTI-ASIAN HATE EDUCATIONAL INFORMATION PACKETS IN VARIOUS ASIAN LANGUAGES AND THROUGH HTTP://ACTIONAGAINSTHATE.ORG. WE HAVE PROVIDED VICTIM ASSISTANCE SUPPORT AND HOTLINE OPERATOR TRAININGS TO CHINESE, KOREAN, MONGOLIAN, FILIPINO, HMONG AND THAI LEADERS. MULTIPLE HOTLINES WERE DEVELOPED IN ORDER TO SUPPORT THESE COMMUNITIES.
