COMMUNITY HOLIDAY STORE IS AN ANNUAL 2-DAY EVENT PROVIDING FOOD, CLOTHING, PERSONAL CARE ITEMS, BOOKS, TOYS AND OTHER SUNDRIES TO AT-RISK CHILDREN IN THE COMMUNITY IN HOPES OF ENSURING A WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS. THE HOLIDAY STORE SHOPPING EXPERIENCE IS DESIGNED TO HELP MAKE THEIR CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY BRIGHTER; GIVING THEM A SENSE OF HOPE AND THAT THEY HAVE NOT BEEN FORGOTTEN. 708 CHILDREN SHOPPED AT OUR HOLIDAY STORE IN 2021.
AFTER SCHOOL TUTORING PROGRAM PROVIDES HOMEWORK ASSISTANCE IN ACADEMIC SUBJECTS AND LIFE SKILLS FOR AT-RISK CHILDREN (GRADES 1-8). SUMMER ACADEMIC TUTORING IS ALSO PROVIDED TO CONTINUE STRENGTHENING THE CHILDREN'S ACADEMIC FOUNDATION. IN ORDER TO SUPPORT THE WHOLE CHILD PHYSICALLY, EMOTIONALLY AND SPRITUALLY, WE ALSO PROVIDE FREE CAMP EXPERIENCES THROUGH PARTNER ORGANIZATIONS IN SPORTS AND FAITH-BASED PROGRAMS.
SCHOOL SUPPLY GIVEAWAY SUPPLIES AT-RISK CHILDREN WITH BACKPACKS AND ESSENTIAL SCHOOL SUPPLIES TO START THEIR SCHOOL YEAR OFF RIGHT. 717 CHILDREN WERE SERVED IN 2021.
COMMUNITY FOOD PANTRY PROVIDES FOOD TO THE COMMUNITY THROUGH FAMILIES WHO SHOP AT OUR FOOD PANTRY. THE PANTRY ALSO SENDS BREAD BUNDLES HOME WITH STUDENTS THROUGH THE LOCAL SCHOOLS AND TO LOCAL LOW-INCOME COMMUNITIES THROUGHOUT THE YEAR AND TO STUDENTS' HOMES DURING THE SUMMER MONTHS. ADDITIONALLY, THE PANTRY PROVIDES SNACKS AND MEALS TO THE STUDENTS AT THE CENTER WHO ARE ENROLLED IN THE AFTER SCHOOL TUTORING PROGRAM - 166,788 TOTAL EXPENSES IN 2021. SUMMER FUN BAGS EVENT PROVIDES PARENTS AND THEIR CHILDREN WITH THE CHANCE OF ENJOYING FAMILY TIME TOGETHER OUTSIDE OF THE HOME. FAMILIES RECEIVE GIFT CARDS AND ACTIVITY VOUCHERS TO A VARIETY OF FUN SUMMERTIME EXPERIENCES. 110 FAMILIES RECEIVED A SUMMER FUN BAG IN 2021. - 21,438 TOTAL EXPENSES IN 2021.
