GLOBAL OPEN LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT (GOLD) PRESCHOOLS AIM TO RE-IMAGINE EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION FOR VULNERABLE CHILDREN BY IMPLEMENTING BOLD STRATEGIES AND CREATING ACCESS TO QUALITY EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION AND LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES THEY NEED AS A FOUNDATION FOR FUTURE INDEPENDENCE AND SUCCESS. INTERNATIONAL PRESCHOOL OF THE ARTS (IPA) A REGGIO-INSPIRED EARLY YEARS PROGRAM AN INITIATIVE OF THE EARLY YEARS COALITION, IPA IS A CONSTRUCTIVIST AND PROJECT-BASED LEARNING PROGRAM FOR CHILDREN 9 TO 48 MONTHS. IPA WILL ALSO SERVE AS A LABORATORY SCHOOL FOR THE AREA COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES AND PROVIDES AN ENVIRONMENT WHERE THE EXPLORATION OF THE REGGIO EMILIA PHILOSOPHY CAN BE POSSIBLE. WE WANT TO PROMOTE THE IDEA THAT IMAGE OF THE CHILD IS OF ONE THAT IS RICH IN POTENTIAL, STRONG, POWERFUL, COMPETENT, AND MOST OF ALL, CONNECTED TO ADULTS AND TO OTHER CHILDREN.LORIS MALAGUZZI. EXPLORE & LEARN ACADEMY THROUGH COLLABORATION WITH EARLY LEARNING NEIGHBORHOOD COLLABORATIVE (ELNC), EXPLORE AND LEARN ACADEMY (ELA), LICENSED BY THE STATE OF MICHIGAN, OPENED TO SERVE 3- AND 4-YEAR-OLDS IN 2014. IN 2019, THE REFUGEE EDUCATION CENTER TOOK OVER THE MANAGEMENT OF THE SCHOOL IN 2020 AND BEGAN WORKING ALONGSIDE THE ELNC TO OPERATE THE ACADEMY FOR CHILDREN 18 TO 48 MONTHS. IN 2022, IT CAME UNDER THE UMBRELLA OF GOLD PRESCHOOLS. THE SCHOOL WILL UTILIZE THE CONSTRUCTIVIST AND OPEN LEARNING PHILOSOPHY AND HIGH SCOPE CURRICULUM.
