KUNA FOOD BANK, INC. (FORMER NAME ALLIANCE SERVING KUNA, INC.) HAS BEEN ORGANIZED TO OPERATE THE COMMUNITY FOOD DISTRIBUTION PROGRAM KNOWN AS THE KUNA FOOD BANK (KFB). THE KFB HAS BEEN OPERATING IN KUNA FOR OVER 40 YEARS. ADDITIONAL PURPOSES OF THE ORGANIZATION ARE TO PROVIDE RESOURCES TO ASSIST PEOPLE WHO LIVE IN THE KUNA COMMUNITY WITH CLOTHING, SHELTER, HEALTH, AND GENERAL WELLBEING. THE ORGANIZATION WILL ALSO HELP PEOPLE IN THE KUNA COMMUNITY MAKE CONNECTIONS TO OTHER COMMUNITY RESOURCES. THE ORGANIZATION WILL ALSO HELP PEOPLE IN THE KUNA COMMUNITY MAKE CONNECTIONS TO OTHER COMMUNITY RESOURCES. COLLECTS AND DISTRIBUTES FOOD TO PEOPLE IN THE KUNA COMMUNITY. IN 2023, 1542 FOOD ORDERS WERE PICKED UP BY HOUSEHOLDS IN KUNA. THE FOOD ORDER IS INTENDED TO PROVIDE A WEEK'S WORTH OF FOOD FOR THE HOUSEHOLD, WITH A RETAIL AVERAGE OF $150 PER FOOD ORDER. THE ESTIMATED RETAIL VALUE OF ALL OF THE FOOD ORDERS IS $230,000. THE FOOD AND GROCERY GIFT CARDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $14,000 WERE PROVIDED TO PEOPLE IN THE KUNA COMMUNITY WHO NEED FOOD. IN ADDITION TO REGULAR FOOD COLLECTION EFFORTS, THE KFB ORGANIZES AN ANNUAL COMMUNITY FOOD DRIVE FOR THE KFB AND OTHER LOCAL FOOD DISTRIBUTION SITES WHICH COLLECTS ABOUT 40,000 OF FOOD. THE KUNA FOOD BANK WAS PREVIOUSLY PHYSICALLY LOCATED AT 260 W 4TH STREET, KUNA, ID 83634 AND AS OF MAY 13, 2024, THE KUNA FOOD BANK WILL BE PHYSICALLY LOCATED AT 679 S BEST BUSINESS AVE SUITE 108, KUNA, ID 83634.
ROSS PANTRY BACKPACK PROGRAM TO PROVIDE FOOD TO CHILDREN LIVING IN LOW INCOME HOUSEHOLDS
PROVIDES LIMITED EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE FOR RENT, GAS CARDS AND UTILITIES FOR PEOPLE IN THE KUNA COMMUNITY.
