THE ASSOCIATION OF GEORGIA GENERAL AVIATION AIRPORTS HELD THEIR SECOND ANNUAL CONFERENCE IN 2023. THIS WAS A THREE-DAY EDUCATIONAL SEMINAR FOR AIRPORTS AND AIRPORT CONTRACTORS. FOR THREE DAYS AIRPORT REPRESENTATIVES WERE ABLE TO TALK ONE ON ONE WITH OTHER AIRPORT REPRESENTATIVES. GDOT, WHO CONTROLS ALL GEORGIA GENERAL AIRPORT FUNDING, MADE A PRESENTATION AND WAS AVAILABLE FOR THE THREE DAYS. SOME PRESENTATIONS WERE: AIRFIELD LIGHTING AND DESIGN, FEDERAL PERMITS, AIRPORT INSPECTIONS, FAA UPDATE, ELECTRICAL AIRCRAFT, ENVIRONMENTAL PLANNING AND LEGISLATIVE ISSUES. OTHER AIRPORT MANAGERS HAVE A WORLD OF KNOWLEDGE AND KNOWING THEM PERSONALLY IS VERY HELPFUL. AGGAA HAS DEVELOPED A WEB SITE WITH ALL MEMBERS LISTED. ALL CONFERENCE SEMINARS CAN BE VIEWED ON THIS SITE. AGGAA ALSO SENDS OUT NEWSLETTERS AND ROUTINELY SENDS OUT EMAILS WITH IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ITS MEMBERS.
