PROVIDE DOWNTOWN AMBASSADORS WHO PATROL THE SIDEWALKS AND PUBLIC SPACE TO AID IN THE SAFETY, CLEANLINESS AND HOSPITALITY OF THE AREA 365 DAYS A YEAR. THE SAFETY AMBASSADORS LOGGED 14,216 PATROL MILES ON SEGWAYS IN 2021. IN 2021, THE CLEAN TEAM REMOVED 350,896 POUNDS OF TRASH AND 10,005 SQUARE FEET OF GRAFFITI, AND POWER WASHED 1,705,287 BLOCK FEET AND ALLEYS.
TO IMPROVE THE ACCESSIBILITY AND IMAGE OF THE DOWNTOWN AREA, THE NDP MANAGES TWO CITY-OWNED DOWNTOWN PARKING FACILITIES FOR THE METRO GOVT. OF NASHVILLE. THIS PROVIDES AN IMPROVED PARKING EXPERIENCE FOR VISITORS AND PATRONS, AND ADDRESSES ONE OF THE PERCEIVED OBSTACLES TO LIVING, WORKING AND VISITING DOWNTOWN. ALSO, NDP OPERATES REMOTE PARKING AND SHUTTLE OPERATIONS FROM NISSAN STADIUM FOR DOWNTOWN EMPLOYEES DURING THE WORKWEEK. THE EVENING AND WEEKEND SHUTTLE SERVICE (BEEP) WAS INACTIVE FROM JANUARY THROUGH DECEMBER 2ND DUE TO COVID-19. NDP OPERATES AND RUNS PARK IT DOWNTOWN WEBSITE.
