THE ASSOCIATION HELD NUMEROUS SEMINARS, WORKSHOPS AND CONFERENCES THROUGHOUT THE WORLD THAT ADDRESSED A WIDE RANGE OF SPECIFIC AIRPORT MANAGEMENT ISSUES ADDITIONALLY AND IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE FAA TRAINING SCHOOLS ON AIRPORT SAFETY, SECURITY AND OPERATIONSISSUES WERE PRESENTED.
THE ASSOCIATION CONTINUES TO PRODUCE CUSTOMIZED TRAINING SYSTEMS USING ITS PATENTED INTERACTIVE EMPLOYEE TRAINING (IET) SYSTEM. THE IET SYSTEM IS A COMPUTER BASED, TURN-KEY SYSTEM USING TOUCH-SCREEN TECHNOLOGY AND FULL-SCREEN DIGITAL VIDEO THAT CAN TRAIN A LARGE NUMBEROF INDIVIDUALS 24 HOURS A DAY, SEVEN DAYS A WEEK, WITHOUT INSTRUCTORS OR CLASSROOMS.
THE ASSOCIATION RUNS THE AIRPORT LEGISLATIVE PROGRAM TO REPRESENT AIRPORTS ON CAPITOL HILL, AND TO PROVIDE AIRPORTS WITH UP-TO-THE-MINUTE INFORMATION REGARDING FEDERAL LEGISLATIVE ACTIONS AND ACTIVITIES. IT ALSO PROVIDES SUPPORT TO AIRPORTS THAT WISH TO CONTACT THEIR MEMBERS OF CONGRESS IN ITS WELL-ESTABLISHED GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS PROGRAM. THE STAFF AND MEMBERS HAVE CULTIVATED A VITAL AND ONGOING RELATIONSHIP WITH POWERFUL CONGRESSIONAL OFFICIALS.
