MULTI-YEAR PROJECT THAT IS FOCUSED ON FINDING WAYS TO INCREASE LOCAL FOOD PRODUCTION. AS PART OF THIS PLANNING WE CREATED A 15 ORGANIZATION COALITION ACROSS 5 NORTH SHORE COMMUNITIES. THE DELIVERABLE WILL BE A REPORT THAT PROVIDES IDEAS AND POTENTIAL PROJECTS THAT COULD BE IMPLEMENTED TO INCREASE THE LOCAL FOOD PRODUCTION ON THE NORTH SHORE. THE BENEFICIARIES OF THIS REPORT WILL BE OTHER LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS THAT MIGHT WANT TO IMPLEMENT SOME OF THE IDENTIFIED IDEAS/PROJECTS.
ALL OTHER PROGRAMS RUN WITHIN MISSION WHICH INCLUDES PROGRAMS RELATED TO FOOD DIVERSION, RESTAURANT COMPOSTABLES, ASSISTING LOW-INCOME FAMILIES TRANSITION TO RENEWABLE ELECTRICITY, AND THE CREATION OF A NEWSLETTER BENEFITING OVER 17,000 HOUSEHOLDS IN THE CITY OF BEVERLY.
THE ORGANIZATION HAS A TWO YEAR CONTRACT WITH THE CITY OF BEVERLY TO PROVIDE HOME/BUILDING ENERGY EFFICIENCY COACHING TO HOMEOWNERS, LANDLORDS, AND BUILDING OWNERS. THE PROJECT INVOLVES RESEARCHING BUILDING OWNERS, PERFORMING OUTREACH TO THE BUILDING OWNERS, AND COACHING THEM ON THE BENEFITS OF THE MASSSAVE PROGRAM. THE BENEFICIARIES ARE THE BUILDING OWNERS IN BEVERLY.
CREATION OF A PLAN ON HOW TO ACCELERATE MULTI-FAMILY ENERGY EFFICIENCY IN THE LOW-INCOME NEIGHBORHOODS. THE PLAN WILL COVER MESSAGING, OUTREACH, FINANCIAL INCENTIVES, TECHNOLOGY OPTIONS, AND COACHING. THIS IS CURRENTLY FUNDED BY MASS CEC WHO WILL SHARE AS A BENEFICIARY AND WILL BE ABLE TO DISSEMINATE TO OTHER COMMUNITIES.
