IN 2021 THE PANTRY RECEIVED 629,501 POUNDS OF DONATED FOOD VALUED AT $1,389,902 USING A REATE OF $2.20/POUND, PER THE LAST STATE OF UTAH GUIDELINE FOR CALCULATING SALES TAX REFUNDS ON DONATED FOOD. WE CONTINUE TO USE THE SAME RATE FOR BETTER CAMPARISON WITH PREVIOUS YEARS. ACCORDING TO THE MONTHLY RECORDS SHEETS FOR 2021 WE DISTRIBUTED 701,523 POUNDS OF GOOD VALUED AT $1,543,351.FOOD WAS GIVEN TO 4,809 INDIVIDUALS. THE AMOUNT OF FOOD GIVEN DEPENDS UUPON FAMILY SIZE. CLIENTS ARE COUNTED EACH TIME THEY RECEIVE FOOD SO THE ACTUAL NUMBGER OF INDIVIDUALS IS LESS THAN THE NUMBER REPORTED. EACH ELIGIBLE INDIVIDUAL OR FAMILY CAN RECIEVED FOOD ONE A MONTH. OTHER INDIVIDUALS HELPED WERE PART OF GROUPS SUCH AS THE BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB, THE ACTS VI SOUP KITCHEN, THE SENIOR CENTER AND OTHER FOOD PANTRY'S. THESE ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE TOTALS ABOVE.
