AS PER BY-LAWS OF THE UTAH CUTTING HORSE ASSOCIATION, ARTICLE I, SECTION 3: THE PURPOSE OF THE UTAH CUTTING HORSE ASSOCIATION IS TO ENCOURAGE THE DEVELOPMENT OF AND PUBLIC INTEREST IN LIVESTOCK AND RANCHING THROUGH THE PROMOTION AND SPONSORSHIP OF CUTTING HORSE EVENTS AND CONTESTS. THE ASSOCIATION ALSO SETS STANDARDS FOR JUDGING AND SPOKESPERSONS AND SUPPORTS THE DEVELOPMENT OF BREEDING TECHNIQUES FOR CUTTER HORSES. THE ASSOCIATION'S MAIN EXEMPT PURPOSE ACHIEVEMENT IS ORGANIZING CUTTER HORSE COMPETITION EVENTS FOR SCHOOL-AGE PARTICIPANTS.
