THE BIRMINGHAM HOST COMMITTEE 2025 WORLD POLICE & FIRE GAMES (BHM2025) IS A NONPROFIT 501(C)(3) CORPORATION ESTABLISHED TO ORGANIZE, MANAGE AND OPERATE ALL ACTIVITIES RELATED TO THE 2025 WORLD POLICE & FIRE GAMES. OUR PRIMARY OBJECTIVE IS TO HONOR AND CELEBRATE OUR COMMUNITY HEROES & PUBLIC SAFETY OFFICERS FROM AROUND THE WORLD BY DELIVERING AN AMAZING ATHLETE EXPERIENCE AND FULLY ENGAGING THE COMMUNITY TO PRODUCE THE BEST GAMES POSSIBLE WHILE SHOWCASING BIRMINGHAM, ALABAMA.

TO ORGANIZE AND CONDUCT THE 2025 WORLD POLICE FIRE AND RESCUE GAMES HELD IN BIRMINGHAM, ALABAMA. OTHER THAN PREPARATION, THERE WERE NO PROGRAMS PERFORMED DURING 2021. THE WORLD POLICE AND FIRE GAMES IS AN OLYMPIC STYLE INTERNATIONAL SPORTS COMPETITION THAT IS HELD BIANNUALLY IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE WORLD POLICE AND FIRE GAMES FEDERATION. PARTICIPATING ATHLETES ARE FIRST RESPONDERS FROM AROUND THE WORLD, INCLUDING RETIRED AND ACTIVE POLICE OFFICERS, FIREFIGHTERS AND OTHER LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCY OFFICERS ASSOCIATED WITH CORRECTIONS, PROBATION, BORDER PROTECTION, IMMIGRATION, AND CUSTOMS. OVER 10,000 FIRST RESPONDER ATHLETES FROM MORE THAN 70 COUNTRIES WILL COMPETE IN THE 2025 WORLD POLICE AND FIRE GAMES IN BIRMINGHAM, ALABAMA. THE 2025 WORLD POLICE AND FIRE GAMES WILL FEATURE MORE THAN 60 SPORTING EVENTS, INCLUDING: (I) OLYMPIC SPORTS, SUCH AS TENNIS, SWIMMING, VOLLEYBALL, CYCLING, AND TRACK AND FIELD; (II)WORLD GAMES SPORTS, SUCH AS BODYBUILDING, ORIENTEERING, TUG OF WAR, BOWLING, AND BILLIARDS; AND (III) OTHER EVENTS SPECIFIC TO FIRST RESPONDERS.THE CORPORATION, IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE WORLD POLICE AND FIRE GAMES FEDERATION, WILL PROMULGATE RULES FOR EACH OF THE EVENTS AND COMPETITIONS THAT WILL TAKE PLACE DURING THE 2025 WORLD POLICE AND FIRE GAMES. THE CORPORATION WILL AUTHORIZE THE REGISTERED AND QUALIFIED ATHLETES AND TEAMS TO PARTICIPATE IN THE COMPETITION. PLANNING AND MANAGING THE 2025 WORLD POLICE AND FIRE GAMES, FROM THE OPENING CEREMONY TO THE CLOSING CEREMONY, IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CORPORATION, INCLUDING THE PROVISION OF SPORTING EQUIPMENT AND EVENT FACILITIES AND THE ORGANIZATION OF THE INTERATHLETE/TEAM CONTESTS. HOSTING THE 2025 WORLD POLICE AND FIRE GAMES WILL PROMOTE ATHLETICISM, SPORT, SPORTSMANSHIP, CAMARADERIE AND INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION BETWEEN THE PARTICIPATING FIRST RESPONDERS AND THEIR RESPECTIVE DEPARTMENTS AND COUNTRIES. ADMISSION FOR SPECTATORS WILL BE FREE TO FURTHER PROMOTE AND ADVERTISE SPORT AND COMPETITION WITHIN THE LOCAL COMMUNITY.
