TO SUPPORT AND STRENGTHEN CHURCH LEADERS AT EVERY LEVEL WITH BIBLICAL AND PRACTICAL TRAINING. THE FOUNDRY OFFERS A VARIETY OF LEARNING COMMUNITIES THAT MAKE THEOLOGICAL EDUCATION AND MINISTRY TRAINING ACCESSIBLE TO CHURCHES AND THEIR LEADERS.

INSTITUTE OF MINISTRY LEADERSHIP - THE FOUNDRY OFFERS SEMINARY-LEVEL TRAINING ON SITE AND PACKAGED IN A SUSTAINABLE RHYTHM. OUR CHURCH-CENTERED MODEL FOCUSES ON MINISTRY-RELATED OUTCOMES IN PARTICIPANTS' CURRENT MINISTRY CONTEXT, CONNECTING COURSE LEARNING WITH THE REAL-LIFE MINISTRY HAPPENING IN THE LOCAL CHURCH. FOR FY2021, THE FOUNDRY PROVIDED COURSES OVER A 10-MONTH PERIOD THAT SERVED 9 TO 25 STUDENTS PER COURSE INVOLVED IN VARIOUS MINISTRIES AT A CHURCH IN INDIANA. FOR FY2022, THE FOUNDRY PLANS TO PROVIDE SIMILAR COURSE-LIKE TRAINING IN KALAMAZOO AND THE GRAND RAPIDS AREA.
MINISTRY FORMATION COHORTS - THE FOUNDRY'S MINISTRY FORMATION COHORTS FOCUS ON EQUIPPING LEADERS FOR MINISTRY IN A WAY THAT IS CHURCH-CENTERED AND USES HOLISTIC, HANDS-ON MODELS OF LEARNING. OUR MINISTRY FORMATION COHORTS ARE FOR THOSE WHO ARE ACTIVELY SERVING IN SOME CAPACITY IN THEIR CHURCH OR MINISTRY CONTEXT, WHETHER AS PASTORS, STAFF LEADERS, OR LAY LEADERS INTERESTED IN BEING FURTHER EQUIPPED FOR MINISTRY. FOR FY21, THE FOUNDRY OFFERED COURSES OVER A 9 MONTH PERIOD THAT SERVED 5 TO 10 PARTICIPANTS PER 6-TO-8 WEEK COURSE SESSION.
CUSTOMIZED WORKSHOPS AND TRAINING - THE FOUNDRY OFFERS WORKSHOPS WHERE LAY LEADERS AND CONGREGATIONS CAN BE TRAINED IN A VARIETY OF AREAS, INCLUDING BIBLICAL AND THEOLOGICAL TRAINING, SPIRITUAL DISCIPLINES, AND HOW FAITH SHAPES OUR APPROACH TO CONTEMPORARY CULTURAL ISSUES. IN FY21, THE FOUNDRY WORKED WITH 7 CHURCHES AND 2 OTHER MINISTRIES TO PROVIDE THEM WITH TRAINING THAT RANGED FROM WEEKLY LESSONS OVER SEVERAL MONTHS TO ONE-TIME WORKSHOPS FOCUSED ON A SPECIFIC TOPIC.
