Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
Part 3
COUNTY CITIZENS DEFENDING FREEDOM IN POLK COUNTY FLORIDA WORKED TO ACCOMPLISH OUR MISSION AS AN ORGANIZATION, TO PROVIDE TOOLS AND RESOURCES TO THE CITIZENS OF POLK COUNTY, FLORIDA IN 2022. WE DID THIS WITHIN OUR THREE MAIN AREAS OF FOCUS, ELECTIONS, EDUCATION, AND RESEARCH AND ANALYSIS. WITHIN ELECTIONS, WHILE WORKING ALONGSIDE OF OUR SUPERVISOR OF ELECTIONS, WE HOSTED POLL WATCHER CLASSES, AND PROVIDED OUR CITIZENS WITH PRECINCT MAPS AND LOCATIONS, TO ENCOURAGE AND INSPIRE LOCAL ELECTION INVOLVEMENT. WE HOSTED CANDIDATE FORUMS, INVITING ALL CANDIDATES WHO RAN IN THE POLK COUNTY, NOVEMBER 2021 LOCAL ELECTIONS, TO COME AND SHARE WITH LOCAL CITIZENS TO PROVIDE A PLATFORM FOR PEOPLE TO VOTE THEIR VALUES. WE HAD SEVERAL MEETINGS WITH OUR SUPERVISOR OF ELECTIONS, WHERE SHE EDUCATED OUR ORGANIZATION ON THE PROCESS OF ELECTIONS. WE HELD PUBLIC MEETINGS INFORMING CITIZENS ON THESE PROCESSES, ULTIMATELY WORKING TO RESTORE VOTER CONFIDENCE. WITHIN OUR EDUCATION AND RESEARCH PILLARS, WE HOSTED TRAININGS FOR ALL CITIZENS TO GET INVOLVED IN SCHOOLS, SUPPORTING TEACHERS AND STUDENTS, THROUGH VOLUNTEER EFFORTS WITHIN SCHOOL ADVISORY BOARDS, PTA, AND PTO. WE BUILT RELATIONSHIPS WITH SCHOOL BOARD MEMBERS AND STAFF, BY LEARNING HOW WE CAN ASSIST THEM AND BETTER SUPPORT THEM AS A COMMUNITY. WE RESEARCHED AGENDA ITEMS THAT THEY DID NOT HAVE TIME TO RESEARCH AND PROVIDED THEM WITH SUMMARIES OF THOSE AGENDA ITEMS. WE HELD MEETINGS, OPENED TO THE PUBLIC, EDUCATING, AND INFORMING PARENTS ON HOW THEY CAN BETTER ASSIST THEIR CHILD'S SCHOOL AND ADMINISTRATION, BY BEING MORE INVOLVED IN THEIR CHILD'S EDUCATION.
