STRATEGICALLY COMBAT HUMAN TRAFFICKING THROUGH EDUCATIONAL INITIATIVES AND SERVE SEX TRAFFICKED WOMEN THROUGH A CONTINUUM OF RESTORATIVE CARE. GREENLIGHT OPERATION (THE ORGANIZATION) IS A LOCAL 501(C)(3), THAT PRIOR TO FEBRUARY 2021, WAS A PART OF CHRISTIAN LIFE ASSEMBLY IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY. THE ORGANIZATION IS ON A MISSION TO STRATEGICALLY COMBAT HUMAN TRAFFICKING THROUGH EDUCATIONAL INITIATIVES AND SERVE SEX TRAFFICKED WOMEN THROUGH A CONTINUUM OF RESTORATIVE CARE. THE ORGANIZATION HAS LED OVER 125 HUMAN TRAFFICKING SEMINARS, CONSULTED AND COLLABORATED WITH A VARIETY OF COMMUNITY GROUPS AND LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES AND HAS LAID THE GROUNDWORK TO LAUNCH A SUSTAINABLE AND EFFECTIVE RESTORATION HOME PROGRAM. THE ORGANIZATION IS AN ACTIVE MEMBER OF THE DAUPHIN COUNTY HUMAN TRAFFICKING TASK FORCE, THE NATIONAL TRAFFICKING SHELTERED ALLIANCE, THE PA ANTI-HUMAN TRAFFICKING ADVOCACY WORK GROUP, AND TRAINEES OF THE NATIONALLY RENOWNED INSTITUTE FOR SHELTER CARE. GREENLIGHT OPERATION COMPLETED OVER 180 HOURS OF IN-PERSON TRAINING ON SHELTER MANAGEMENT, TRAUMA-INFORMED CARE, VICTIMOLOGY, AND HOW TO WALK THROUGH THE RECOVERY PROCESS WITH SEX TRAFFICKING SURVIVORS IN RESIDENTIAL SETTINGS WITH THE INSTITUTE FOR SHELTER CARE. THIS HAS ALLOWED THE ORGANIZATION TO LAY A FIRM FOUNDATION FOR THE RESTORATION PROGRAM'S DEVELOPMENT AND HAS PROVIDED THEM WITH OPPORTUNITIES TO FURTHER ENGAGE WITH A NATIONAL NETWORK OF HUMAN TRAFFICKING SERVICE PROVIDERS. EDUCATION - EDUCATION ABOUT HUMAN TRAFFICKING IS VITAL TO COMBAT MISINFORMATION, EMPOWER LEARNERS, AND EQUIP COMMUNITY MEMBERS. THE ABOLITIONIST MOVEMENT GROWS WHEN AWARENESS SPREADS: 1. RESEARCH: EQUIP PARTNERS AND THE PUBLIC WITH TIMELY AND ACCURATE ANTI-HUMAN TRAFFICKING INFORMATION. 2. CONSULTATIONS: CONSULT WITH FRONTLINE WORKERS TO BETTER IDENTIFY HUMAN TRAFFICKING CASES, IMPLEMENT BEST PRACTICES WHEN INTERACTING WITH VICTIMS, AND CONNECT VICTIMS TO SERVICES. 3. ADVOCACY: ADVANCE STATE POLICY THAT WILL PREVENT FUTURE CASES OF HUMAN TRAFFICKING, PROTECT VICTIMS, PENALIZE BUYERS AND TRAFFICKERS, AND PROMOTE HEALING AND RECOVERY FOR SURVIVORS.
RESTORATION - THE ORGANIZATION IS QUICKLY APPROACHING THE OPENING OF A LONG-TERM RESTORATION HOME FOR SEX TRAFFICKED WOMEN IN THE GREATER HARRISBURG AREA. CURRENTLY, IN THE PROCESS OF COMPLETING RENOVATIONS AT THE NEWLY PURCHASED PROPERTY AND RAISING FUNDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION, ONBOARDING OF STAFF AND PROGRAM EXPENSES FOR THIS SERVICE. THE LONG-TERM RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM WILL HOUSE UP TO SIX WOMEN FOR 12-18 MONTHS. UPON ARRIVAL, SURVIVORS WILL BE ENROLLED IN A RESTORATIVE PROGRAM, WHICH WILL PROVIDE INDIVIDUALIZED, COMPREHENSIVE CARE.
