ADOPT A FAMILY PROGRAM - WORKED WITH BUSINESSES AND INDIVIDUALS TO PROVIDE CHRISTMAS GIFTS AND FOOD TO 56 FAMILIES. COATS FOR KIDS - PROVIDED COATS TO 153 PEOPLE OF ALL AGES. FAMILIES IN NEED PROGRAM - PROVIDED APPLIANCES, HOME REPAIRS, RENT, AND OTHER SHORT-TERM ASSISTANCE TO MORE THAN 30 FAMILIES. FRIENDLY HOME VISIT PROGRAM - PROVIDED VOLUNTEERS TO VISIT PEOPLE WHO LIVE ALONE WHO NEED A FRIEND FOR CONVERSATION AND HELP WITH PERSONAL NEEDS. TEN PEOPLE WERE SERVED DURING THE YEAR. FURNITURE PROGRAM - RECEIVED DONATIONS OF FURNITURE WHICH WERE REDISTRIBUTED TO FAMILIES IN NEED. A TOTAL OF 104 FAMILIES MADE DONATIONS AND 158 FAMILIES RECEIVED MUCH NEEDED FURNITURE. MEALS DELIVERY PROGRAM - VOLUNTEERS DELIVERED MEALS-ON-WHEELS MEALS TO 14 SENIORS IN THE VILLAGE OF MIDDLEBURGH WEEKLY. SCHOHARIE COUNTY CHRISTMAS FOR KIDS - PROVIDED TOYS, BOOKS, CLOTHES, SPORTS EQUIPMENT, AND OTHER GIFTS FOR 848 CHILDREN IN 329 FAMILIES. SUMMER BACKPACK PROGRAM - DELIVERED PACKAGED FOOD TO NEEDY CHILDREN THROUGHOUT THE COUNTY DURING THE SUMMER WHEN SCHOOL MEALS ARE NOT AVAILABLE. FOOD PACKAGES WERE DELIVERED TO 178 FAMILIES EACH WEEK, PROVIDING THEM WITH MORE THAN 24,000 MEALS. SUMMER LUNCH PROGRAM - PROVIDED MORE THAN 10,000 LUNCHES TO CHILDREN, FAMILIES, AND THE ELDERLY DURING THE SUMMER. THANKSGIVING BASKET PROGRAM - PROVIDED BASKETS OF TRADITIONAL THANKSGIVING FOOD TO 427 FAMILIES THROUGHOUT SCHOHARIE COUNTY.
