PASSION AND COMPASSION'S MAIN PROGRAM IS FOOD DISTRIBUTION TO RESIDENT'S OF PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MARYLAND, AND THE SURROUNDING AREA. PASSION AND COMPASSION ADDRESSES ITS COMMUNITYS NEED FOR FRESH, NUTRITIOUS FOOD THAT IS BOTH AFFORDABLE AND ACCESSIBLE. THIS IS ACCOMPLISHED BY (1) WEEKLY PRODUCE DISTRIBUTIONS THROUGHOUT PRINCE GEORGES COUNTY; (2) PARTNERING WITH LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS TO PROVIDE THEM FOOD; (3) OFFERING AN ACCESSIBLE FOOD PANTRY FOR LOW-INCOME FAMILIES; AND (4) PROVIDING A COMMUNITY FOOD HUB FOR COLD AND DRY FOOD STORAGE. THROUGH THESE EFFORTS IN 2021, PASSION AND COMPASSION PARTNERED WITH 12 FOOD DONORS AND 15 FOOD DISTRIBUTORS, FACILITATED 250 PRODUCE AND GROCERY DISTRIBUTIONS, RECOVERED 2.5 MILLION POUNDS OF FOOD, DISTRIBUTED 2.6 MILLION POUNDS OF FOOD, AND SERVED 152,000 PEOPLE.
