PASSION AND COMPASSION'S MAIN PROGRAM IS FOOD DISTRIBUTION TO RESIDENT'S OF PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MARYLAND, AND THE SURROUNDING AREA. PASSION AND COMPASSION ADDRESSES ITS COMMUNITY'S NEED FOR FRESH, NUTRITIOUS FOOD THAT IS BOTH AFFORDABLE AND ACCESSIBLE. THIS IS ACCOMPLISHED BY: (1) WEEKLY PRODUCE DISTRIBUTIONS THROUGHOUT PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, (2) PARTNERING WITH LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS TO PROVIDE THEM FOOD, (3) OFFERING AN ACCESSIBLE FOOD PANTRY FOR LOW-INCOME FAMILIES, AND (4) PROVIDING A COMMUNITY FOOD HUB FOR COLD AND DRY FOOD STORAGE. THROUGH THESE EFFORTS IN 2022, PASSION AND COMPASSION PARTNERED WITH 16 FOOD DONORS AND 22 FOOD DISTRIBUTORS, RECOVERED 2.8 MILLION POUNDS OF FOOD, DISTRIBUTED 2.8 MILLION POUNDS OF FOOD, AND SERVED 210,000 FAMILIES THROUGHOUT PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY AND THE DMV REGION.
