THE COMMUITY PERFORMANCE ARTS CENTER SERVES AS THE COMMUNITY FOCAL POINT FOR THE ARTS. THEY NORMALLY HAVE PRESENTED OVER 180 MULDISCIPLINARY PERFORMANCES AND HOSTED MORE THAN 70 PERFORMANCE GROUPS DURING THE FISCAL YEAR. HOWEVER, BECAUSE OF THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC, THE FACILITY WAS SHUT DOWN IN LATE MARCH 2020 AND EXPERIENCED SIGNIFICANT LOSE OF REVENUES WHICH HAD TO BE REFUNDED OR PATRONS WERE OFFERED GIFT CARDS FOR FUTURE USE. THE PANDEMIC CONTINUED INTO THIS FISCAL YEAR BUT THE FACILITY WAS ALLOWED TO OPEN IN SEPTEMBER AT 25% OCCUPANCY AND ACCELERATED TO 50% CAPACITY IN MARCH. WITH THE HOPE OF BEING FULLY OPEN IN SEPTEMBER 2022, WE HAVE PLANNED FOR FULL OCCUPANCY AND HAVE SOLD 22-23 TICKETS BEGINNING IN MAY 2022 STILL HOPING FOR MORE NORMAL OPERATIONS.
