COMMUNITY HOUSING SERVICES - PRIMARILY ENGAGED IN BUILDING NEW HOMES ON LAND THAT IS OWNED OR CONTROLLED BY THE BUILDER RATHER THAN THE HOMEBUYER OR INVESTOR. THE LAND-IN-TRUST IS INCLUDED WITH THE SALE OF THE HOME. HABIBAT FOR HUMANITY BUILDS AND SELLS HOMES TO LOW-INCOME FAMILIES AT NO PROFIT AND CHARGES NO INTEREST. VOLUNTEER CONSTRUCTION, IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE POTENTIAL HOMEOWNER WHO MAY ASSIST IN THE CONSTRUCTION WORK AND IS A TENET OF THE ORGANIZATION'S ACTIVITIES. APPROXIMATELY, 10,308 VOLUNTEER HOURS WERE DONATED DURING THE YEAR.
