CENTER FOR HEALTH AND RECOVERY'S MISSION IS TO EMPOWER INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES AFFECTED BY BEHAVIORAL HEALTH CONDITIONS TO ACHIEVE A HEALTHY AND MEANINGFUL LIFE THROUGH THE USE OF RECOVERY-BASED COMMUNITY SERVICES AND OUR SHARED EXPERIENCES.

IN FYE 09/30/2023 CHR PROVIDED SERVICES TO 417 UNIQUE INDIVIDUALS OF WHICH 134 WERE NEW MEMBERS TO THE PROGRAM. 85% OF THE MEMBERS SERVED AT CHR IN FY23 HAD A SERIOUS MENTAL ILLNESS DESIGNATION, 10% OF THOSE SERVED WERE DESIGNATED AS HAVING A GENERAL MENTAL HEALTH AND OR SUBSTANCE USE DISORDER, AND 5% OF THOSE SERVED WERE DEVELOPMENTALLY DISABLED, OR PART OF THE ARIZONA LONG TERM CARE PROGRAM. THE LARGEST AGE GROUP SERVED BY CHR IS COMPRISED OF ADULTS AGED 36 TO 45 WHO ACCOUNT FOR 22.4% OF THE ADULT POPULATION SERVED. 34,298 SERVICES WERE PROVIDED IN FY23, WITH PEER SUPPORT ACCOUNTING FOR 47% OF THE SERVICES. OTHER SERVICES INCLUDE LIFE SKILLS, PRE-EMPLOYMENT AND BEHAVIORAL HEALTH PREVENTION AND EDUCATION. 2,575 INDIVIDUAL ONE-TO-ONE PEER SUPPORT SESSIONS WERE HELD, AN INCREASE FROM FY22 WHEN 1,076 INDIVIDUAL SESSIONS WERE HELD. CHR ADDED COLLABORATION IN FY23 WITH CITY OF SCOTTSDALE SPECIALTY COURTS AND PHOENIX MUNICIPAL COURTS WITH CO-LOCATED PEERS AT THESE LOCATIONS. 1,157 CONTACTS WERE MADE WITH ARIZONAS PRISON INMATES THROUGH THE TARGETED INVESTMENT PROGRAM. 210 INMATES IN ARIZONAS PRISON SYSTEM COMPLETED A TEEN PARENTING CLASS AND 208 EARNED A PARENTING CERTIFICATE. IN FY23 CHR EXPANDED SERVICES TO INCLUDE AN OUTPATIENT PROGRAM IN ADDITION TO ITS COMMUNITY SERVICE AGENCY DESIGNATION.
