THE MISSION OF THE FOUNDATION IS TO SUPPORT THE WEST YAVAPAI GUIDANCE CLINIC DBA POLARA HEALTH BY RAISING FUNDS AND AWARENESS TO MAKE A CRITICAL DIFFERENCE IN MENTAL HEALTH OUTCOMES WITHIN OUR COMMUNITY.

CRISIS STABILIZATION UNIT SUPPORT THIS 24/7 PROGRAM FOR THOSE EXPERIENCING MENTAL HEALTH OR SUBSTANCE USE RELATED CRISES PROVIDES ASSESSMENT, INTERVENTION, OBSERVATION AND OVERNIGHT SERVICES. THE VISION IS TO PROVIDE TIMELY, QUALITY CRISIS SERVICES THAT LEAD TO IMPROVED MENTAL HEALTH OUTCOMES; AND TO REDUCE THE BURDEN ON TAXPAYERS, LAW ENFORCEMENT PERSONNEL, AND HOSPITALS BY REDIRECTING INDIVIDUALS FROM JAIL AND EMERGENCY ROOMS TO THE CSU.
SENIOR PEER PROGRAM - THIS PREVENTION PROGRAM FOCUSES ON THE EMOTIONAL HEALTH OF PERSONS 60 AND OVER; OFFERING FREE CONFIDENTIAL SUPPORT GROUPS, ONE-ON-ONE INDIVIDUAL PEER SUPPORT, EDUCATIONAL PRESENTATIONS, AND RESOURCE/REFERRALS. THE PROGRAM HELPS SENIORS STAY EMOTIONALLY STRONG AND MANAGE LIFE CHANGES WITH THE SUPPORT OF PEERS.
CHILDREN'S PROGRAM - OF THE APPROXIMATELY 1,200 CHILDREN SERVED BY WYGC DBA POLARA HEALTH ANNUALLY, MANY HAVE NEEDS THAT ARE NOT DIRECTLY BEHAVIORAL HEALTH YET CONTRIBUTE TO THEIR SELF-ESTEEM, SELF-CONFIDENCE AND OVERALL EMOTIONAL HEALTH AND WELLNESS. WHEN OTHER FUND SOURCES CANNOT COVER MUSIC LESSONS, CAMPS, MEDICATION OR EVEN STAFF TRAINING, THE FOUNDATION IS ABLE TO ASSIST.
