SETTING THE GOLD STANDARD FOR ARTISTIC EXCELLENCE AND INNOVATION, ATC IS ARIZONA'S SOLE LORT (LEAGUE OF RESIDENT THEATRES) PROFESSIONAL NONPROFIT REGIONAL THEATRE. GUIDED BY THE VISION OF EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR GERI WRIGHT AND KASSER FAMILY ARTISTIC DIRECTOR MATT AUGUST, EACH SEASON, WE ASSEMBLE A TEAM OF WORLD-CLASS ARTISTS DEDICATED TO DELIVERING EXCEPTIONAL THEATRICAL EXPERIENCES IN BOTH THE TUCSON AND PHOENIX METROPOLITAN COMMUNITIES. OUR IMPACT TRANSCENDS THE STAGE. WITH A COMMITMENT TO OUTREACH, EDUCATION, AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT, ATC CONNECTS WITH OVER 130,000 PATRONS ANNUALLY THROUGH MAINSTAGE PRODUCTIONS, STUDENT MATINEES, AND COMMUNITY INITIATIVES - INCLUDING OUR NATIONAL LATINE PLAYWRIGHTS AWARD AND FESTIVAL. THE ARIZONA THEATRE COMPANY ACADEMY EXTENDS QUALITY THEATRE ARTS PROGRAMMING TO ARIZONA STUDENTS THROUGH OUR STUDENT MATINEE PROGRAM. IN THE 2022-23 SEASON ALONE, ATC POSITIVELY IMPACTED THE LIVES OF OVER 3,200 STUDENTS THROUGH THIS INITIATIVE.ATC'S STUDENT MATINEE PROGRAM ENSURES THEATER ACCESS FOR A DIVERSE RANGE OF STUDENTS FROM KINDERGARTEN TO TWELFTH GRADE. WE OFFER ONE-DOLLAR TICKETS TO TITLE I SCHOOL AND AFFORDABLE TICKETS TO ALL OTHER STUDENT POPULATIONS. FOLLOWING THE MATINEE PERFORMANCES, ENGAGING PANEL DISCUSSIONS BRIMMING WITH INSIGHTFUL INFORMATION ALLOW STUDENTS TO POSE QUESTIONS TO THE ARTISTIC TEAM AND ACTORS. ATC ALSO PROVIDES SHOW-SPECIFIC EDUCATOR RESOURCES AND STUDY GUIDES AT NO ADDITIONAL COST.
ATC IS DEDICATED TO BUILDING CONNECTIONS AND ACTIVELY ENGAGING WITH OUR LOCAL COMMUNITIES. OUR COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT INITIATIVES ARE INTEGRAL TO ESTABLISHING ATC AS A CRUCIAL COMMUNITY CULTURAL RESOURCE. OUR DIVERSE RANGE OF ACTIVITIES ENCOMPASSES AUDIENCE ENGAGEMENT PROGRAMS, ACTIVE PARTICIPATION IN LOCAL FESTIVALS AND EVENTS, AND THE CONTINUAL ENHANCEMENT OF OUR COMMUNITY PRESENCE. FURTHERMORE, EACH OF OUR PRODUCTIONS FEATURES SPECIAL NIGHTS, SUCH AS COMMUNITY NIGHT, PRIDE NIGHT, AND TEACHER PREVIEW NIGHT, OFFERING REDUCED-PRICED TICKETS TO COMMUNITY MEMBERS. THIS INITIATIVE IS DESIGNED TO ENSURE OUR SEASON IS ACCESSIBLE TO EVERYONE. ADDITIONALLY, ATC ACTIVELY COLLABORATES WITH OVER 50 COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS, LOCAL BUSINESSES, AND NON-PROFITS, CREATING VALUABLE PARTNERSHIPS THAT CONTRIBUTE TO ENGAGEMENT, ELEVATE BRAND AWARENESS, AND THOUGHTFULLY SUPPORT THE WELL-BEING OF THE COMMUNITIES WE SERVE THROUGH LITERACY DRIVES AND MEDICAL AWARENESS SPOTLIGHTS FOR CONDITIONS WHICH MAY BE PART OF OUR MANY STORYLINES.
