THE MISSION OF THE ARIZONA NURSES ASSOCIATION IS TO SUPPORT ADVANCEMENT OF THE NURSING PROFESSION TO PROMOTE A HEALTHY ARIZONA. IN 2021, AZNA APPROVED OVER 300 HOURS OF NURSING CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT THROUGH OUR ACCREDITED APPROVER UNIT AND OVERSAW SEVEN HEALTHCARE ORGANIZATIONS ALLOWING THEM TO PROVIDE MORE THAN 1000 ADDITIONAL HOURS OF NURSING CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT TO THEIR NURSES ON STAFF. PROVIDED ONGOING CLINICAL UPDATES AND EDUCATION TO OVER 200 ARIZONA ADVANCE PRACTICE REGISTERED NURSES, WITH ADDITIONAL EVENTS SUPPORTING RNS IN AREAS OF ADVOCACY, WELL-BEING, RESILIENCE, AND COMMUNITY OPPORTUNITIES. PARTICIPATED IN PROGRAM CREATING OPPORTUNITIES FOR RNS TO COMPLETE ADVANCED BOARD EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION WITHIN THEIR SPECIALTIES. SUCCESSFULLY LOBBIED FOR THE OVER 88 ARIZONA BILLS THAT IMPACT THE NURSING PROFESSION AND THE HEALTH AND SAFETY OF THE ARIZONA PUBLIC.
