THE CLUB'S MISSION IS TO SUPPORT AND SERVE THE COMMUNITY AS A CIVIC ORGANIZATION BY IMPROVING THE COMMUNITY THROUGH WORTH PROJECTS INCLUDING FACILITATING COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS FOR AREA HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS PROMOTING HIGH ETHICAL STANDARDS AND ASSISTING LESS FORTUNATE CITIZENS WITH FOOD ASSISTANCE.

THE ROTARY CLUB OF GALLUP FACILITATES AND ENCOURAGES CLUB MEMBERS TO DONATE THEIR TIME TO ASSIST THE GALLUP ROTARY CLUB CHARITABLE FOUNDATION INC. IN IT'S FUND RAISING AND SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM TO PROVIDE REGIONAL HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS WITH SCHOLARSHIPS TO ATTEND THE COLLEGE OR UNIVERSITY OF THEIR CHOICE. ALL WORK BY CLUB MEMBERS IS ON A COMPLETELY VOLUNTARY BASIS AND WITHOUT AND COMPENSATION OR PERKS OF ANY KIND EITHER BY THE CLUB OR ANY OF IT'S MEMBERS. CLUB MEMBERS ASSIST IN THE SELECTION PROCESS USING CRITERIA SIMILAR TO THOSE USED FOR ADMISSION TO THE U.S. MILITARY ACADEMIES.
CLUB MEMBERS CONTRIBUTE FUNDS AND THEIR TIME TO HELP LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS AND AREA RESIDENTS IN NEED OF ASSISTANCE. THE MEMBERS ORGANIZE PURCHASE AND DELIVER FOOD TO FAMILIES IN NEED IN OUR COMMUNITY DURING THE HOLIDAY SEASONS. THE MEMBERS ALSO SUPPORT OTHER PROJECTS AND ORGANIZATIONS THAT HELP IMPROVE THE COMMUNITIES IN OUR LOCAL AREA. THE CLUB SUPPORTS OTHER AREA YOUTH CIVIC AND WORTHY LOCAL CAUSES AS WELL AS ROTARY INTERNATIONAL AND ASSOCIATED CLUBS. THE CLUB IS PARTNERING WITH OTHER ROTARY CLUBS TO FUND A MOBILE DIABETES VAN TO ASSIST THOSE IN THE REGION DEAL WITH THEIR DIABETES TESTING AND MONITORING. BECAUSE OF COVID AND THE LOCKDOWNS AND RESTRICTIONS ON MOST PUBLIC ACTIVITIES DURING THIS TAX YEAR MANY OF THE CLUB'S ACTIVITIES WERE SEVERELY LIMITED OR PRECLUDED ALTOGETHER.
