SPEAK WITH PURPOSE (SWP) STANDS AS THE SOLE YOUTH PUBLIC SPEAKING PROGRAM INTEGRATED INTO CLASS HOURS ACROSS PARTNERING SCHOOLS IN KING COUNTY. IN 2023, SWP SERVED MORE THAN 750 SCHOLARS IN GRADES 4TH 8TH ACROSS SEVEN PARTNERING PUBLIC SCHOOLS. AMONG THESE SCHOOLS, FIVE ARE TITLE 1, CATERING TO SCHOLARS WITH THE GREATEST NEEDS, INCLUDING THOSE WHO IDENTIFY AS LGBTQIA+, ENGLISH-LANGUAGE LEARNERS, IMMIGRANTS, UNIQUE LEARNERS, AND/OR MCKINNEY VENTO YOUTH. SWP CONDUCTS OVER 20 CLASSES WEEKLY, TOTALING AN ANNUAL ESTIMATED 600+ IN-PERSON CLASS HOURS, AND UP TO 75 HOURS OF COACHING SESSIONS AND COMMUNITY SPEAKING ENGAGEMENTS.
