ACADEMIC COUNSELING (AC) WE MET THE CHALLENGES OF A GLOBAL PANDEMIC AND AN URGENT SOCIAL JUSTICE MOVEMENT BY INCREASING OUR SCHOLAR SUPPORT AND ENHANCING OUR COMMUNITY BUILDING EFFORTS. THIS INCLUDED TECH HELP, EMERGENCY FUNDS, STUDY SESSIONS, AND MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT.
LEADERSHIP AND CAREER DEVELOPMENT (LCD) - EARLY CAREER EXPOSURE THROUGH TEEN EXPLORATION WORKSHOPS AND MEANINGFUL SUMMER OPPORTUNITIES, INCLUDING 75 INTERNSHIP PLACEMENTS. GRADE-LEVEL LEADERSHIP WORKSHOPS AND SEMINARS WERE REVAMPED TO FOCUS ON IMPORTANT CURRENT EVENTS. CAREER EXPO.
ACADEMIC ENRICHMENT/RECRUITMENT (AEP) - WE RECRUITED OUR 20TH COHORT OF SCHOLARS. WHEN SCHOOLS CLOSED DUE TO COVID-19, WE PIVOTED TO PROVIDING ONLINE ACADEMIC ENRICHMENT AND SUPPORT. SCHOLARS RECEIVED NEARLY 500 HOURS OF IN-PERSON, AND 180 HOURS OF VIRTUAL, ACADEMIC ENRICHMENT.
