THE O2 UTAH FOUNDATION IS DEDICATED TO A GREENER UTAH. IN 2022 THE ORGANIZATION FOCUSED ON IMPROVING AIR QUALITY ALONG THE WASATCH FRONT AND ADVANCING EFFORTS TO REDUCE UTAH'S CONTRIBUTIONS TO CLIMATE CHANGE. THE FOUNDATION SUPPORTED EFFORTS OF CITIES TO REDUCE CARBON EMISSIONS BY PUSHING FOR 100% CARBON FREE ELECTRICITY. THE FOUNDATION DEVELOPED AND INTRODUCED A LANDMARK AIR QUALITY PROPOSAL--PROSPERITY 2030--THAT SEEKS TO REDUCE POLLUTION EMISSIONS ALONG THE WASATCH FRONT BY 50% BY 2030. FINALLY, THE O2 UTAH FOUNDATION RESEARCHED THE LATEST IN POLICY PRESCRIPTIONS ON THESE ISSUES AT THE FEDERAL, STATE, AND LOCAL LEVEL.

THE O2 UTAH FOUNDATION DEVELOPED A PROPOSAL TO REDUCE POLLUTION BY 50% BY 2030, CALLED "PROSPERITY 2030." THE ORGANIZATION INTRODUCED THIS PROPOSAL TO THE PUBLIC IN OCTOBER 2021. IN ADDITION, THE ORGANIZATION WORKED TO INFORM POLICYMAKERS ABOUT AIR POLLUTION AND HOW THE LEGISLATIVE PROCESS COULD IMPROVE THIS ISSUE OR MAKE IT WORSE. FINALLY, THE O2 UTAH FOUNDATION PERFORMED FOCUS GROUPS TO UNDERSTAND HOW CERTAIN UTAHNS FELT ABOUT PROPOSALS TO IMPROVE AIR QUALITY ALONG THE WASATCH FRONT.


THE O2 UTAH FOUNDATION WORKED TO TACKLE UTAH'S CONTRIBUTIONS TO CLIMATE CHANGE IN 2022. THESE EFFORTS CENTERED ON ADVANCING MUNICIPAL CLEAN ENERGY GOALS, PARTICULARLY THE UTAH COMMUNITY RENEWABLE ENERGY PROGRAM.
