THE ORGANIZATION'S MISSION IS TO INSPIRE STUDENTS TO PURSUE CAREERS IN SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING AND MATHEMATICS. THE ORGANIZATION ATTEMPTS TO DO SO BY PROVIDING MENTORING, TRAINING AND PARTIAL FINANCING TO DISADVANTAGED COLLEGE AND HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS. ADDITIONALLY, THE ORGANIZATION INTENDS TO KEEP ALIVE THE LEGACY OF JOY THOMAS THROUGH AWARDS FOR RESEARCH CONDUCTED IN THE FIELD OF INFORMATION THEORY.
