UNDER THE HICS GRANT PROGRAM, THE ORGANIZATION DISTRIBUTES GRANTS TO DESERVING, FINANCIALLY DISADVANTAGED INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES TO SUBSIDIZE THEIR COST OF HOLISTIC INTIMATE CARE SERVICES. IN 2021, IT SUPPORTED 225 PATIENTS IN ACCESSING: HOLISTIC PRENATAL CARE, WHICH INCLUDED SUPPORT SERVICES SUCH AS CHIROPRACTIC CARE, SOUND THERAPY, NUTRITION, AND ACUPUNCTURE; HOLISTIC OUT OF HOSPITAL BIRTH CARE AT HOME OR AT BIRTH CENTER THAT WAS CULTURALLY REFLECTIVE OF THE CLIENT'S RACE AND ETHNICITY, HOLISTIC POSTPARTUM CARE, INCLUDING DOULA SERVICES, LACTATION CONSULTATIONS, MEAL SERVICES, CHIROPRACTIC CARE, AND VAGINAL STEAM THERAPY. SUBSIDIES WERE PAID DIRECTLY TO APPROXIMATELY 220 CARE PROVIDERS, THUS SUPPORTING THE GROWTH AND SUSTAINABILITY OF THE HOLISTIC INTIMATE CARE PRACTICE SO THAT MANY MORE PATIENTS MAY CONTINUE TO ACCESS SUCH CARE.
