A NATIONAL RESOURCE NETWORK, THE AMERICAN MUSEUM MEMBERSHIP CONFERENCE SETS THE INDUSTRY STANDARD FOR PROFESSIONALS IN THE FIELD OF MEMBERSHIP-BASED FUNDRAISING THROUGH TREND ANALYSIS, TRAINING, SHARED COMMUNICATION, MENTORSHIP, AND SUPPORT. TO ACCOMPLISH THIS MISSION A NATIONAL CONFERENCE IS HELD EVERY 18 MONTHS, AN ONLINE LISTSERV IS MODERATED AND BOARD MEMBERS ARE AVAILABLE TO SERVE AS MENTORS FOR MUSEUM MEMBERSHIP PROFESSIONALS ACROSS THE COUNTRY.THE CONFERENCE IS HELD EVERY 18 MONTHS IN A CITY IN THE U.S. CHOSEN TO PRESENT VISITING OPPORTUNITIES WITHIN MUSEUMS THAT REPRESENT THE BEST IN MUSEUM EXHIBITIONS AND TRADITIONS OF EXCELLENCE IN MEMBERSHIP FUNDRAISING. EACH CONFERENCE DRAWS MORE THAN 350 ATTENDEES FROM NEARLY 250 ORGANIZATIONS. SPEAKERS ARE DRAWN FROM MUSEUM MEMBERSHIP AND FUNDRAISING STAFF AS WELL AS FUNDRAISING AGENCIES AND COUNSEL FROM ACROSS THE NATION. KEYNOTE SPEAKERS HAVE RANGED FROM MAJOR FUNDRAISING AUTHORS TO MUSEUM DIRECTORS.
