AS PART OF THE PROGRAM, THE ACADEMY PROVIDES STUDENTS INSTRUCTION ON VARIOUS ELEMENTS OF TAEKWONDO, A KOREAN MARTIAL ART CHARACTERIZED BY SPECIFIC FORMS OF KICKS, BLOCKS, STRIKES, AND STANCES. THE ACADEMY'S CURRICULUM IS BASED ON TEACHING, PRACTICING, AND TESTING THESE SPECIFIC FORMS, ALONG WITH OTHER SKILLS AND TECHNIQUES, SUCH AS FITNESS AND AGILITY. IN ADDITION, THE CURRICULUM ALSO FOCUSES ON THE IMPORTANCE OF CHARACTER AND KEY PHILOSOPHIES RELATED TO TAEKWONDO, SUCH AS INTEGRITY, COURTESY, AND PERSEVERANCE.
