TEFAP IS A USDA-FUNDED SUPPLEMENTAL FOOD PROGRAM ADMINISTERED BY THE CDSS. TEFAP PROVIDES ADMINISTRATIVE FUNDS AND USDA COMMODITIES TO A NETWORK OF FOOD BANKS THROUGHOUT CALIFORNIA. TYPICAL ITEMS ARE (SHELF STABLE/DRY/FRESH/FROZEN/BULK PRODUCTS) MILK, PRODUCE, EGGS, PROTEIN. TOTAL POUNDS: 10,882,885

THE PROGRAM ADDS FOOD STORAGE FACILITES AS WELL AS SUSTAINABLE POWER AND REFRIGERATION.IMPACT: FIVE CALIFORNIA INDIAN TRIBES RECIEVE EQUIPMENT AND INSTALLATION TO ENHANCE INFRASTRUCTURE AND INCREASE CAPACITY FOR FOOD STORAGE AND FOOD DISTRIBUTION.
