Part 3

ONE OF THE LEADING REASONS ANIMALS ARE NOT RETURNED HOME WHEN LOST IS THAT THE OWNERS CANNOT BE IDENTIFIED AND LOCATED. IT HAS BEEN PROVEN THAT PETS WHO ARE MICROCHIPPED HAVE A FAR GREATER CHANCE OF GOING HOME VS ENDING UP IN AN ANIMAL SHELTER. THE AMERICAN ASSOCIATION OF PET PARENTS MADE MICROCHIPS AVAILABLE TO SHELTERS AND THE PUBLIC IN 2021 TO INCREASE THE NUMBER OF PETS WHO RECEIVED THIS LIFE SAVING TECHNOLOGY. 1500 MICROCHIPS WERE SOLD AND IMPLANTED IN 2021 ALONE THUS INCREASING THE CHANCE THAT 1500 PETS WILL BE REUNITED WITH THEIR FAMILIES IF THEY WERE TO GET LOST.
