ETERNAL SEEDS IS A COMMUNITY-BASED NONPROFIT THAT SERVES ARTISTS IN NEW ORLEANS. WE CENTER ALL OF OUR WORK AROUND EDUCATION EMPOWERMENT AND THE PRESERVATION OF NEW ORLEANS BLACK HISTORY AND CULTURE WITH A FOCUS ON YOUNG AND EMERGING ARTISTS. HARNESSING THE POWER OF CREATIVE EXPRESSION AND COMMUNITY WE PROVIDE YOUNG AND EMERGING ARTISTS WITH TOOLS THEY NEED TO BECOME THE REVOLUTIONARY LEADERS AND SHAPERS OF A MORE JUST EQUITABLE AND ARTFUL WORLD.

Part 3 - Line 4a

ETERNAL SEEDS "SUMMER SESSION 2022" IN PARTNERSHIP WITH BMIKE LLC - PROVIDED 20 YOUNG ARTISTS EXPOSURE TO THE POWER OF ART THROUGH MURAL ARTS AND DIGITAL MEDIA PRODUCTION. OVER A 5-WEEK SUMMER ARTS INTENSIVE TEAMS ARE PLACED IN SMALL TEAMS AND ARE GUIDED BY PROFESSIONAL ARTISTS WHO SERVE AS INSTRUCTORS TO MENTOR THE FUNDAMENTAL SKILLS OF MEDIA ARTS AND MURAL MAKING. EACH TEAM IS TAUGHT ABOUT THE PROCESS OF CREATING FROM CONCEPTUALIZATION ALL THE WAY TO COMPLETED PRODUCTION. UPON COMPLETION OF THE PROGRAM EACH STUDENT IS REWARDED WITH A GRANT UP TO $600.


FRIENDS OF LAFITTE GREENWAY PROJECT - PROVIDED 10 YOUNG ARTISTS AN OPPORTUNITY TO CREATE A CUSTOM MURAL ON A BASKETBALL COURT AT THE LEMANN PLAYGROUND IN NEW ORLEANS. ROLES INCLUDED NOT ONLY THE LABOR TO CREATE THE ART ON THE COURT BUT ALSO ROLES SUCH AS PROJECT MANAGERS AND LEAD DESIGNERS. UPON COMPLETION OF THE PROJECT EACH STUDENT AS REWARDED WITH A GRANT UP TO $1,800.


BRASS A HOLICS PROJECT - PROVIDED 7 YOUNG ARTISTS AN OPPORTUNITY TO WORK WITH A LOCAL BAND CALLED THE BRASS A HOLICS TO CREATE CUSTOM MERCHANDISE FOR THE BAND TO WEAR AND SELL ON IT'S TOURS. STUDENTS PARTICIPATED IN THE DESIGN AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT FUNCTIONS OF THE PROJECT AND WE REWARDED WITH GRANTS UP TO $1,350.
