COMMUNITY PROGRAMS - THE BENICIA COMMUNITY FOUNDATION HAS AWARDED SEVERAL GRANTS TO LOCAL NONPROFITS THAT BOLSTER COMMUNITY SUPPORT. A FEW OF THESE GRANTS HAVE FUNDED BENICIA'S FOURTH OF JULY AND TREE LIGHTING CELEBRATIONS, ESTABLISHED THE BENICIA HIGH SCHOOL BOOSTERS, AND SUPPORTED BHS DIGITAL MARKETING FOR LOCAL BUSINESSES, HELPED WITH THE CLEAN UP OF THE CITY CEMETERY AND BENICIA'S PLAYGROUND OF DREAMS. THEY ALSO FACILITATED THE CREATION AND INSTALLATION OF THE HAROLD BRAY MONUMENT, SPONSORED THE BENICIA DOG FESTIVAL, AND AWARDED FUNDS TO ARTS BENICIA, AMONG SEVERAL OTHER INITIATIVES, ENSURING THAT AREAS OFTEN OVERLOOKED BY OTHER SUPPORT GROUPS RECEIVE THE NECESSARY ASSISTANCE.
