FLAGLER OPEN ARMS RECOVERY SERVICES, [OARS] IS AN INDEPENDENT NON-PROFIT RECOVERY COMMUNITY ORGANIZATION, ONE OF OVER 300 RCOS IN THE UNITED STATES. OUR SOLE MISSION IS TO MOBILIZE RESOURCES WITHIN AND OUTSIDE OF THE RECOVERY COMMUNITY TO INCREASE THE PREVALENCE AND QUALITY OF LONG-TERM RECOVERY FROM SUBSTANCE USE DISORDER. PUBLIC EDUCATION, POLICY ADVOCACY AND PEER-BASED RECOVERY SUPPORT SERVICES ARE THE STRATEGIES THROUGH WHICH OUR MISSION IS ACHIEVED. OUR ACTIVITIES INCLUDE OUTREACH AT OVER 20 OUTLETS WEEKLY WHERE WE DISTRIBUTE RECOVERY INFORMATION AND NARCAN. WE PROVIDE POLICY ADVOCACY THROUGH MEETING WITH LOCAL, STATE, AND FEDERAL LEGISLATORS. WE CONDUCT PEER SUPPORT THROUGH ONE-ON-PEER COACHING AND GROUP MEETINGS. WE FACILITATE A VARIETY OF TRAINING SEMINARS FOR THE PUBLIC INCLUDING OPIOID OVERDOSE RECOGNITION AND RESPONSE, WELLNESS RECOVERY ACTION PLANNING, INTERACTIVE JOURNALING AND SMART TRAINING.
