THE HAPS ALLIANCE WILL ENCOURAGE COLLABORATION AMONG PLAYERS IN THIS ARRAY OF INDUSTRIES. THEIR OBJECTIVE: TO RESEARCH, DEVELOP, AND LAUNCH A ROBUST, INTEROPERABLE ECOSYSTEM OF HAPS TECHNOLOGIES TO BENEFIT PEOPLE AND INDUSTRIES GLOBALLY.

THE HAPS ALLIANCE WAS INCORPORATED AS AN ENTITY IN APRIL OF 2020. IN THE REMAINDER OF THE YEAR, THE LEADERSHIP TEAM DRAFTED A STRATEGIC ROADMAP TO DRIVE THEIR MISSION FORWARD. IN 2021, THE STRATEGIC ROADMAP WAS REFRESHED, REXAMINING THE SCOPE AND PRIORITIES OF THE ALLIANCE. THE ALLIANCE HAS THREE WORKING GROUPS (MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS, TELECOMMUNICATIONS, AND AVIATION) WHO CONTINUE TO MEET MONTHLY, WORKING INDEPENDENTLY ON THEIR OWN GOALS, AND THREE WHITE PAPERS WERE RELEASED AS A RESULT. THE MARKETING WORKING GROUP SPEARHEADED EFFORTS LIKE EVENT PLANNING, WEB CONTENT & SOCIAL MEDIA, A PITCH DECK, AND OTHER PROMOTIONAL MATERIALS. THE HAPS ALLIANCE CONTINUED HAVING CONVERSATIONS WITH ORGANIZATIONS LIKE THE WORLD FOOD PROGRAMME, TELECOM INFRA PROJECT, GSMA, 3GPP AND ITU-R. A MEMBER MEETING WAS HELD IN THE SPRING OF 2021, FOLLOWED BY A SUMMIT, PARTIALLY OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, IN THE FALL OF 2021.
