Part 3 - Line 1
DEDICATED TO ENSURING ALL PA VOTERS CAN CAST A BALLOT IN A SAFE, SECURE, AND CONVENIENT WAY.
Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
Part 3 - Line 4a
VOTER EDUCATION:BEFORE 2020, PENNSYLVANIANS HAD NEVER VOTED EARLY OR BY MAIL WITHOUT AN EXCUSE IN A GENERAL ELECTION. WHILE SIGNING PEOPLE UP TO VOTE BY MAIL AND ENCOURAGING VOTERS TO VOTE EARLY WERE CRUCIAL, WE ALSO NEEDED TO MAKE SURE THEY KNEW HOW TO USE THESE NEW VOTING OPTIONS TO AVOID DISENFRANCHISEMENT. THE VOTER PROJECT EXCECUTED A SIGNIFICANT VOTER EDUCATION PROGRAM TO MAKE SURE ALL PENNSYLVANIANS COULD VOTE IN A SAFE, SECURE, AND CONVENIENT WAY.
VOTE BY MAIL:"THE VOTER PROJECT DESIGNED A FOCUSED VOTE BY MAIL RECRUITMENT PROGRAM IN 2021 THAT FOCUSED ON BIPOC, HISTORICALLY DISADVANTAGED AND LOW-PROPENSITY VOTERS.OUR PROGRAM INCLUDED:--529,155 APPLICATION MAILERS SENT--127,856 TEXTS IN CONJUNCTION WITH PA UNITED--302,282 PHONE CALLS"
SAFE AND SECURE ELECTION:THE VOTER PROJECT COMBATS EFFORTS TO DISENFRANCHISE AND INTIMIDATE VOTERS. ADDITIONALLY, THE VOTER PROJECT CONDUCTS RESEARCH TO INFORM OUR PLANNING AND PROGRAMS TO ENSURE THAT EVERY PENNSYLVANIA VOTER, ESPECIALLY THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN HISTORICALLY DISENFRANCHISED, IS ABLE TO CAST A BALLOT IN A SAFE, SECURE, AND CONVENIENT WAY.
