DURING THE 2020-21 FISCAL YEAR, THE MIDWIFERY EDUCATION ACCREDITATION COUNCIL (MEAC) PROVIDED ACCREDITATION SERVICES FOR 12 SCHOOLS ENGAGED IN THE EDUCATION AND TRAINING OF MIDWIVES, SUCH SCHOOLS SERVING 849 STUDENTS. OUR ACCREDITATION ACTIVITIES INCLUDED REVIEW AND EVALUATION OF TIMELY REVIEW, ADVISORY AND CONSULTATION (TRAC) REPORTS ON (2) BENCHMARKS AND CONTINUED QUARTERLY TRACKING OF (1) ONGOING TEACH-OUT, MONITORING REPORTS ON (14) BENCHMARKS, COMPLIANCE REPORTS ON (8) BENCHMARKS, (3) SUBSTANTIVE CHANGE APPLICATIONS, AND (5) SELF-EVALUATION REPORTS. STAFF AND VOLUNTEERS COMPLETED (4) SITE VISITS. MEAC GRANTED PRE-ACCREDITATION TO ONE SCHOOL, DENIED PRE-ACCREDITATION TO ONE SCHOOL, AND GRANTED RENEWAL OF ACCREDITATION TO TWO SCHOOLS. MEAC RECEIVED (90) CONTINUING EDUCATION APPLICATIONS WITH A TOTAL OF (352) TEACHING SESSIONS. (78) OF THE APPLICATIONS WERE APPROVED, (6) WERE DENIED AND (6) ARE IN THE PROCESS OF BEING PEER REVIEWED.
