COMMUNITY ADVOCACY PROGRAM: IN 2021, 354 ADULTS, AND 5 CHILDREN PLANNED FOR THEIR SAFETY, AND MADE PROGRESS IN HEALING AND REBUILDING THEIR LIVES THROUGH INDIVIDUAL ADVOCACY, COUNSELING AND SUPPORT GROUPS. 120 DOMESTIC VIOLENCE SURVIVORS RECEIVED INFORMATION, REFERRALS AND SUPPORT WITH PROTECTION ORDERS, DIVORCE, CHILD CUSTODY, IMMIGRATION AND OTHER CASES WITH THE ASSISTANCE OF OUR LEGAL ADVOCATES. 61 SURVIVORS RECEIVED MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELING THROUGH NEW BEGINNINGS' THERAPIST, AND 151 SURVIVORS RECEIVED FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO HELP THEM REMAIN HOUSED, AND OVERCOME OTHER OBSTACLES TO SAFETY AND INDEPENDENCE.
HOME SAFE PROGRAM: IN 2021, 41 ADULTS AND 49 CHILDREN FLEEING ABUSE FOUND A SAFE HAVEN, RECEIVING INTENSIVE WRAP-AROUND SERVICES AND FLEXIBLE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE IN OUR BRIDGE HOUSING. WITH THE SUPPORT OF OUR HOUSING ADVOCATES, OVER 95% OF THESE SURVIVORS EXITED TO STABLE HOMES, RECEIVING RENT ASSISTANCE AND MOBILE ADVOCACY SERVICES FOR UP TO A YEAR.
DVHOPELINE: IN THE LAST HALF OF 2021, CRISIS INTERVENTION, EMOTIONAL SUPPORT, SAFETY PLANNING, INFORMATION ABOUT DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND REFERRALS WERE PROVIDED TO SURVIVORS AND COMMUNITY MEMBERS SUPPORTING THEM THROUGH 5,022 CALLS AND CHATS.
