AN INDEPENDENTLY AND LOCALLY GOVERNED CHAPTER OF NATIONAL CASA (COURT APPOINTED SPECIAL ADVOCATES); EDDY COUNTY CASA AUXILIARY WAS INCORPORATED AS A TAX-EXEMPT NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION IN THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO IN 1990 AND IS PRIMARILY AND DIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE FOR ITS OWN OPERATIONS. THE ORGANIZATION'S MISSION IS TO CARRY ON A PROGRAM OF PREVENTION OF ABUSE AND NEGLECT OF CHILDREN BY ASSISTING IN THE PROCUREMENT AND TRAINING OF COMMUNITY VOLUNTEERS TO SERVE AS COURT APPOINTED SPECIAL ADVOCATES IN EDDY COUNTY (ARTESIA AND CARLSBAD), NEW MEXICO AREA. THE ORGANIZATION'S PRIMARY SOURCES OF SUPPORT AND REVENUE ARE CONTRIBUTIONS, GRANTS AND SPECIAL FUNDRAISING EVENTS.

THE PROGRAM PROMOTES SAFE, PERMANENT HOMES FOR ALL CHILDREN AND SEEKS TO EDUCATE THE COMMUNITY CONCERNING THE NEEDS OF ABUSED AND NEGLECTED CHILDREN.
